Step 3

After allowing the wheat to soak overnight or for 12 hours rinse it thoroughly and drain the water. Put the lid on and leave it partly off to allow some air to get through. Then put it in a dark place overnight or for 12 hours. (didnt get a picture but it will just look like your wheat but puffed up and no sprouts yet aka the white part pictured below)

This is my wheat after 2 days of sitting without water in a dark place. Vegas is very dry so normally it would take half the amount of time for the grass to start sprouting but since we have pretty much zero moisture here it will take a bit longer. So I am going to let it sit for another 12 hours then rinse and see if its ready. You will know if its ready when you see it sprouting...you'll want a good quarter of an inch of growth before planting it.

Wheat Grass

We are attempting to try and grow wheat grass over here....

Step 1
Buy at least a cup of wheat (any kind of wheat you want I think I got hard red wheat)

Step 2
soak wheat in water overnight or for 12 hours

Ours is currently soaking I'll give you daily updates and steps as it grows (and if the updates stop well then you know we have failed miserably at growing wheat grass:)
