At 2.5 I believe Wyatt is weighing in at 28lbs and is about 35 inches tall. He is definitely on the smaller side. Wyatt started a group swim lesson once a week back in november. He cried a little the first couple of lessons but after that he has loved it! He gets to jump off the wall and kick his feet splash around. He is really getting the hang of using his arms and feet together while under water. Its a fun class and I'm glad we signed up to do it. This kid has so much energy and on swim lesson days he crashes at night (which is rare:). He has been such a sweet older brother for the most part. He will go and get Sawyer his blankie and go over and say here sawyer. Or he will ask where he is if hes sleeping and say wake him up I want to play with him. But he also doesnt quiet get how to be soft yet and will try and jam something in his mouth (heaven help us!). Wyatt says the cutest things lately and is really talking a lot. He has a huge vocabulary and is talking in full sentences. He is a parrot and literally repeats what we say all day long. He loved driving around at Christmas time to look at all the lights. He literally loves anything that has wheels or a motor trucks cars dirt bikes four wheelers motorcycles bikes tractors boats trains planes helicopters. He loves to run jump climb dig in the dirt. He is fearless and will climb up high things and jump off high things.
Back in November he kept taking off his diaper and saying yucky mom I dont want my diaper on its sooo peepeed. It was a fight to put the diaper on every time. We had a couple yucky instances where he got into his poop during nap time! The second time that happened I said well lets give potty training a try...no hurt in trying right. I wasnt even planing on attempting to potty train him till he was 3 everyone says boys are so hard and just to wait till 3 and they will just get it. Well I started and he did awesome the first day went 1 and 2 in the potty. Day 2 and 3 went to my moms and sisters while I worked and no accidents. It was right before Thanksgiving and we went out of town a few times. He actually did really good out of town but when he got back he was not interested at all and it was a battle. So we put him back in diapers for 3 weeks and tried again. He didnt do as good as the first time but it took about a week and he hasnt had an accident in over a week. I consider myself very lucky bc he was pretty easy to potty train! He is the best older brother and loves to play and make Sawyer laugh. He is super energetic and playful. He loves to rough around with dad. He loves to make messes and get into everything. He is definitely discovering life. He got retested for food allergies and still had reactions to everything. The doctor said the egg one was less so we give him some eggs here and there and he seems to do okay with them. Its hard bc he always has bad eczema and we just can't nail down exactly what is causing it. We love our playful spirited blue eyed Wy man! We cant imagine life without him...cant believe he is 2.5!!
